Studio Recording |
Studio recording at MME
productions can be done from several approaches. The primary approach is recording to the
DAW which uses a Tascam DM24 going into a MOTU
2408MKIII 24 bit 96khz interface and running Logic
Audio Platinum software.
Some artists may choose not to
keep their original tracks, which reduces expenses. Tracks can be backed up to DVD-R, reducing the
expense of keeping final copies of recorded tracks. Also, tracks can be
backed up to ADAT tape for those who desire this method.
Even in cases where the
artist/band does not wish to keep copies of original tracks, backups during
recording are recommended. This does add expense and time but is better than
a potential loss of tracks.
For straight
forward demo recording 16 tracks of ADAT tape based recording can be used
foregoing any involved computer editing.
Again the band/artist can decide whether they wish to keep the final
tapes or reduce expenses by only receiving the final masters.
1/2 inch, 8 track analog tape is available for use on tracks where artists desire
the “Phat” analog sound. The tape width format is only slightly
narrower than a 2 inch 24 track machine. Used selectively with digital
tracks, this can achieve great results without the expense of larger
machines.

Live Recording |
Want to capture your live sound? Want to come up with a demo from live performance instead of the involvement of studio recording? 16 tracks of ADAT tape based recording can be provided to capture your performance. The tracks would then be taken back to the studio for mastering. Review and keep the good tracks and discard the bad. |
Format Conversion |
Want to get your old Adat tapes into hard disk/digital format? Remaster old Adat
recordings? Need hard disk data sent
to Adat for use in an Adat
studio? Need Dats
made into CD’s? Cassettes into CD’s or into
digital audio files, or into Mp3 format? MME recording can do all
that.

CD Duplication |
Professional CD duplication is
done with an automated Primera CD duplication
machine. On surface thermal printing
makes the CD’s look extremely professional and just like the CD’s
you buy in the store. Professional insert printing is done as well. From 5 to 100 discs are easily done. This
is good for sending out professional demos or producing CD’s for sale
at your gigs.
